Chef Michael DuBose

Chef Michael DuBose has over 35 years of culinary experience. He worked as an Executive Chef for 20 years before joining school nutrition. As an Executive Chef, most recently, he developed menus at the Atlanta Fox Theater’s Marque Club and as Campus Executive Chef at the University of Tampa. He has also worked in hotels, country clubs, business dining, and restaurants, including owning his restaurant. 

Trained in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, he earned his degrees from Johnson and Wales University and New England Culinary Institute. 

Chef DuBose has been in school nutrition for 6 years, 2 years in a district and 4 years at the state level. He is currently a Culinary Specialist with the Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition Division creating resources and professional development opportunities for districts across Georgia by strengthening the K-12 Culinary Culture in every school kitchen so they can provide quality school meals.  

Michael also serves as a member of The Culinary Institute of Child Nutrition Advisory Board.
