Lawrence Wright has been with BlueCross and BlueShield of South Carolina for 14 years. He currently serves as Foodservice Manager. His primary duties include working with the culinary teams in six cafés to bring a fresh, on-trend approach to on-site dining, and working with the in-house wellness staff to develop and implement an ever-evolving series of healthy-eating initiatives. Lawrence also works closely with an internal employee engagement association and various administrators to promote a full-service in-house catering program that accounts for 35 percent of total café sales. As part of the BlueCross commitment to community, he teaches a free monthly healthy cooking class hosted by SC Blue. Lawrence has also worked with the Cooking Matters: No Child Hungry program as well as multiple organizations, including United Way of the Midlands, Palmetto Place Children and Youth Services, and the American Heart Association.
