Jeff Rumney – Vice President of Marketing for the USA Dry Pea and Lentil Council and the American Pulse Association. I have been actively involved in marketing, agriculture and science for three decades. As an agricultural researcher, with Pioneer Hi-Bred, I developed alfalfa cultivars for the Mid-West, California and international markets. I served as the USADPLC Director of Research for 2 years, supporting the Council’s strategic research plan – Sustainable Agriculture, Product Innovation and Health Benefits of pulses. In my current role with the USADPLC, I manage in all aspects the Council’s efforts to expand our domestic and international markets. This role gives me the opportunity interact with consumers, scientists, producers and industry from around the globe. It is exciting to come to work each day - there is so much innovation and growth in the industry. We have a great story to tell. When not at work, you will find me running, hiking, fishing and generally enjoying family, life and people.

During the session, Dr. Rumney will present a practical review of "Why Pulses are Sustainable". Professional chefs from the pulse industry will demo - EGGLESS breakfast, dessert and breads.
