MenuDirections 2020 is going ahead as planned

March 10, 2020

To: MD attendees, sponsors and partners,

Due to the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) outbreak and the recent cancellation of some large conferences, we have received several questions as to whether these trends will affect our conference in any way.

We are issuing this message to confirm that MD 2020 is proceeding this week as planned.

MD is a domestic event, and there are no attendees registered from China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore or Taiwan—which are countries for which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has assigned a travel health notice.

We take the safety of our attendee and sponsor community very seriously, and this is particularly the case during the current COVID-19 outbreak. Our venue partner, Marriott International, is reinforcing recommended measures on appropriate hygiene standards and following the guidance of the CDC, the World Health Organization (WHO) and local health authorities.

We will continue to work very closely with the venue and our partners to put into place additional health precautions in line with the continuing guidance provided by the CDC and the WHO.

We have also received inquiries about the impact of tornadoes in Nashville on MenuDirections. In our communications with the Gaylord Opryland and by monitoring news from the City of Nashville, we have been informed that there were no disruptions at Nashville International Airport or the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. To read more about Nashville's response to the storms, please visit the #NashvilleStrong webpage.

If you have questions, please email us at events@winsightmedia.com. As the meeting date approaches, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide any appropriate details or changes in policy to this page.
