National Watermelon Promotion Board

The National Watermelon Promotion Board (NWPB), based in Winter Springs, Florida, was established in 1989 as an agricultural promotion group. Funded through a self-mandated industry assessment paid by more than 700 watermelon producers, handlers and importers, NWPB's mission is to increase consumer demand for watermelon through promotion, research and education programs. With menu penetration at 14%, America’s favorite melon has a lot of room to growth on US menus. Watermelon (flesh, juice and rind) brings a unique flavor, color and texture to any dish throughout the menu and familiarizes global flavors.
